Great service, great food. Had the Osso Buco Special which was incredible. Their Tiramisu is also worth a trip on its own.
Great atmosphere, great service, and most of all ... amazing food. Love Enzos !!
The staff was Italian and the food was authentic. Very delicious. We arrived at 8:15 kitchen closes at 8:30, we placed our order in quickly. Felt like they were too preoccupied with cleaning up and closing that to truly take care of us. We ordered fountain drinks and they didn’t arrive until we were done with our meal. Kinda disappointing and they still charged us for the drinks even though they fell short on their end.
Great food, and an absolutely lovely waitress! Stopped in for lunch without reservations, and promptly seated on the outside, semi-covered patio. We split the Deliciosi salad (arrugula, heart of palm, and pears, with a delightful vinaigrette - Delicious!), and one of the two specials - ravioli stuffed with sausage & spinach covered with musshrooms and peas - absolutely delicious! Paired with 2 glasses of Chianti and two flavored Pellagrino's, all for just under $100. And the best part was the young woman who served us - absolutely delightful!
I gave two stars because I ordered a meat free pasta and came with ham I think. I had specifically asked a meat free pasta sauce. I realized it was not meat free after I took a bite. While everybody was super nice and friendly it did not help that the waiter expected us understand the Italian name of the sauce meaned some kind of meat. I don't know Italian.I think it is important to know some people might have restrictions and it is waiter's job to explain the options. The pasta was remade and the new sauce was delicious. The fennel salad was nice too.I think this place might be better for people who does not have too many food restrictions.
Very cute Italian restaurant! 🇮🇹 stopped for a quick bite for lunch while shopping and their prosciutto and bread were incredibly good. Pizzas were so delicious and fresh as well 🍅
Stopped into this intimate and inviting space just up the street from our hotel well into the evening on a warm Saturday night. No reservations and like most Carmel restaurants in the Fall, it was packed. Host asked if we'd mind sitting at a cozy table for two across from the bar and we readily accepted and were seated immediately. One of our best decisions of our trip. We were welcomed like old friends and treated to a superb, late-evening dinner of fresh, house-made pasta with guanciale, topped-off with an outstanding, locally produced Pinot Noir. Entire staff could not have been more gracious, nor could the kitchen have delivered a stronger product. Sincere thanks to everyone at Enzo. Looking forward to returning soon.
I went with my family and two waiters (one Italian) were harassing me to leave by asking 4x if everything was 'ok' in less than 5min. Not only they were annoying but also they sent us the bill before I finished my dishto make us leave the restaurant fast. *The place was empty and they didn't need extra space*. I have to say the pasta was good and they have a great location - but I do not recommend it if you have kids.
My wife and I visited for lunch on a Sunday. The food was excellent (the Crab Ravioli and Gnocchi Tropea) and the service beyond awesome! Thank you!
Excellent food perfect for a nice meal in Carmel
Nice place but overpriced! $$$$$I paid quite a lot and still was hungry like I didn’t eat at all... but food was good that’s why I’m giving 5 stars.
Really good food and great service. Definitely not a budget restaurant. I had pasta with white truffles and the flavor was intense but delicate at the same time.
Great pasta selections
Enzo is some below-average Italian food with a grumpy waiter! The food was bland; no salt, no pepper, and definitely no flavors; Italian or otherwise. My son and I went there recently and we were highly disappointed. Our server didn't check on us or ask us about the food. Even when we both said, "thank you" the waiter ignored us completely. The only one who was nice was the busser. He smiled and was kind to us. I must say that given the quality of food, it was expensive and overpriced.
Such a beautiful place. Everything was amazing. Wonderful service.
Perfetto dinner. The lamb shank was very soft and delicious.
Yesterday was our first time we came to that place. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the attentive service, with the exceptional cooking and wine and with the honest cost. We will no doubt visit there again.
Amazing food! Get your cameras ready if you order the amazing saganaki. Kind, nice and funny service in a beautiful and clean atmosphere.
Authentic Italian food. The bread is amazing. The paninis are made of fresh and very light ciabatta bread. Highly recommend!
Experience how premium ingredients are used to create food that can just about best a frozen dinner. The tagliolini special was good, but utterly dissapointed by the calamari, pizza, lasagna and the crab ravioli.Stars are purely for the friendly staff and the ambience.
Great overall dining and food experience! Great service, ambiance and great food! Coming back tomorrow!
Great food and service. Servers were prompt and attentive. Definitely would recommend the lamb shank, healthy size portion with a tasty thick ragu sauce. Very cute and quaint back patio area.
This is a beautiful Italian restaurant with delicious burrata, salad, crab ravioli and seabass! The crab ravioli is a 20 year old recipe, the wine selection is excellent and the tiramisu is absolutely amazing!Stop by this family run restaurant for an authentic experience!
Absolutely amazing. Favorite Italian restaurant. Very authentic, the owner and the staff are from Italy. The food is delicious, and the wine selection is superb. All of five stars, great job guys.
Small, intimate Italian in the heart of Carmel with a nice fireplace and very attentive service (and if the chef is waiting on you, bordering on over-attentive. But he's a nice guy). Impressive wine list for a place of its size. Food was solid but not spectacular. The caprese salad featured silky Italian mozzarella and a splash of rich balsamic, but the tomatoes were a bit meh and oddly no basil-- just arugula. Salmon was fantastic, and the spaghetti Amatriciana was spicy and fresh. The lasagne, on the other hand, was clearly made ahead and zapped to make it hot, but the noodles were flimsy and the filling was very ordinary. For dessert, however, the pistachio torta at the end was absolutely astounding. Maybe the best dessert course in Carmel. The little glass of verduzzo that chef recommended was perfect with it. Dinner with three courses was about $100 pp without wine. Very dog-friendly, too, with a comfortable, heated patio adjacent to the main dining room.
Average overpriced food. The best thing about our dinner was the bottle of red wine which itself was nowhere close to the vintage on the menu. The tiramisu was bad and the cheese plate had a honey stick on it - which was tacky considering we paid $250 for the meal
Everything I eat and drink here is awesome. Highly recommended.
We’re recent transplants from Palo Alto to Old Town in Monterey. Dropped in at Enzo after the owners of Italico and Terun (our 2 favorite restaurants in Palo Alto) suggested we check them out. We were greeted warmly by the bar master who introduced us to Enzo, the owner. The atmosphere in the ristorante was warm and comfortable. The wine selection is spot on and the menu looked delectable. Along with a few tables out front and the interior tables, there are also tables in a back patio. While we only ordered a bottle of wine Enzo offered us prosciutto and cheese which we eagerly accepted. We are absolutely going to return for dinner and will share our experiences. Molto buono 😎
No frills service and a very rustic setting. Just had a glass of wine and left. We ate else where. Won't be back.
So nice to eat outside. Food was very good
Fantástico! Great food and that entire Italian atmosphere makes you feel in Europe for a minute
Among the worst food I have eaten anywhere. Pizza was a strange bread-like dough, tuna was (or tasted) tinned, pasta was over cooked, sauces tasted like they came from a jar, fish was clearly frozen. In all, spectacularly awful. We all left our meals and then paid an extortionate amount for it. What a shame. Dreadful.
Great environment, Great staff, Great chef and Great food & wine! What a great night.
Had take out and took advantage of their wine specials. Fabulous food, great wine for a very reasonable price. Love this place!!!
The lasagna was very bad, felt like frozen food. The marinara was too tangy. They should improve the food quality. Stars are for the wonderful host and great service.
This is no doubt one of the finest restaurants in the area. Always when I come to this place I am greatly glad. They preserve their high standard service and the highest level of cooking they serve. You are always happy with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.
Good food, great wine collection. We got the pizza and the crab ravioli. Pizza was ok, by the ravioli was very tasty. The tiramisu is homemade and you can taste the difference (it’s really good). The social distancing measures seemed adequate. Overall good experience and we’ll probably visit again soon to try out other things on the menu.
A wonderful casual streetside restaurant featuring Italian style meals. Great wine selections, marvelous food, friendly, attentive staff. And very pet-friendly.
I love here!!!!!!! The food is soooooooo delicious and I can give five stars!!! I love lipstick steak !!!!!!! If you are here, you must order lipstick steak!!!! Enjoy high quality foods!!!!
At the first moment you arrive in that place team give you a comfortable feeling. Very courteous waiters, it is a happy restaurant to to go out with friends or with your date. Great cooking, creative chef, good cost and nice service. Highly recommended.
Cozy place.Delicious Italian cuisineSalmon was really good.. Good wine selection but the actaul vintage may not always match what they say in the menu
The food was great, the environment was nice. We felt a little RUSH when the waiter clear up our plates once the plate was cleaned :) .
Delicious fresh Italian in a quaint setting. Lobster ravioli is the house special. Cute small outdoor patio in back. They were able to seat us even when other places had an hour wait. Was not disappointed with the dining experience.
Good food and wine. Nice bread. Service good
This is really good Italian restaurant I ever been. The food was perfect! Not only food, the restaurant mood was really good for dating people. So I highly recommend this place for dating dinner place. Moreover, severs was super nice and service was perfect I can tell. Only one thing I was sad about part was that there was no tiramisu at that moment which is my favorite and waiter recommended to me. If I have chance to be there, I will definitely try tiramisu! (P.S pistachio cake was also delicious!)
Service was great. Beer was skunky and they ran out. Risotto was bland and mushy. Pasta undercooked, and I respect and love al dente. Maybe they were maxed out on Valentine's day weekend? Maybe I should've sent it all back.
Super cool and delicious italian food.
Wonderful place! Great food - calamari, lobster ravioli and clams were our favorite. Staff was super nice, so genuine and not too pushy, considering Carmel mostly serves tourists. Highly recommend it!
Terrific menu, excellent service, stellar wine menu. The specials are so delicious and the patio is romantic and sweet!
This place is semi-fancy and quite pricey. I ordered the crab ravioli (20 dollars) which probably came with a total of around 15 pieces. Despite the small portions, the ravioli was delicious - especially the sauce. Couldn't really taste the crab but definitely one of the best pasta dishes I've had.
